Working for FAMILY CIRCLE magazine all started when I entered the FAMILY CIRCLE design contest in 1971.  My entry and 3rd place winner, “Machine Embroidered Vest”, was selected from over 8,000 design entries.  I went on to become one of FAMILY CIRCLE magazines creative craft and needlework designers working with Jan Neukam and exceptionally talented, creative director and editor Deborah Harding.  And, yes, it was fun and gratifying to go into a local grocery store and see FAMILY CIRCLE magazine at the check out counter knowing my designs were inside and sometimes on the cover.
